3) Steel-edge rubber waterstop sheet is a kind of new rubber waterstop by inserting galvanized steel sheet into the middle of vulcanized rubber, which is applicable to construction field with high pressure and large structure variable.
4) When structural deformation is large, the cross section of common rubber waterstop will be elongated and thin with structure sedimentation, concrete shrinkage and creep. Once deformation is beyond its fatigue limit, new leakage crack will be formed. However, when steel-edge rubber waterstop is used, there is strong adhesive between the plates at both sides and surrounding concrete structure and between steel sheet and rubber. Once structure deformation occurs, rubber part will be elongated and thin, while new leakage crack will not be formed between steel sheet and concrete, between steel sheet and rubber. Therefore, steel-edge rubber waterstop not only enhances barrier performance of structural deformation, but also plays an important quality assurance role in waterproof in the whole project.
